CALGARY--(CCNMatthews - Oct. 27) - Mr.
Charles Caty, Chairman of the Board, is pleased to announce the addition
of Warren A. Thomson of Boston, Massachusetts to the Board of Directors
of NAL Oil & Gas Trust (TSX:NAE.UN) (the "Trust"). Mr. Thomson will
fill the vacancy on the Trust's Board that was created by the
resignation of Leo de Bever from Manulife Financial Corporation and the
Board of the Trust effective September 29, 2006.
Mr. Thomson is Executive Vice President, MFC Global Investment
Management and Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer of
John Hancock. He is responsible for managing the growth of MFC Global's
asset management business in North America and abroad. He oversees the
North American Equity, Infrastructure Investment and Real Estate
Division of MFC Global Investment Management and the operation of a
number of MFC Global Investment subsidiaries, including MFC Global
Investments (US), Declaration Management & Research, Hancock Timber
Resource Group, Hancock Agricultural Investment Group, and NAL
Resources. He also has accountability for credit in John Hancock's US
Fixed Income portfolios.
