2009) - NAL Oil & Gas Trust (the "Trust" or "NAL") (TSX:NAE.UN)
announces that Warren A. Thomson has resigned from the Board of
Directors of NAL Energy Inc. (the "Board"), the board overseeing the
activities of NAL Oil & Gas Trust, and has been replaced by William
Eeuwes, Vice President, Manulife Capital who has been appointed to the
Board as Mr. Thomson's replacement.
Mr. Thomson, Vice Chairman of MFC Global Investment Management, is
resigning in order to focus on additional responsibilities at Manulife
Financial.
Mr. Eeuwes currently holds the position of Vice President of
Manulife Capital, and is responsible for leading Manulife's Canadian
private equity and project finance teams. He has 30 years of experience
in private equity, project finance and banking, is a graduate of the
Richard Ivey School of Business of the University of Western Ontario and
is a Fellow of the Institute of Canadian Bankers. He is a director of
Canaccord Capital Inc. and Seamark Asset Management Ltd., chairman of
Regional Power Inc. and a director of several other private companies.
