CALGARY--(CCNMatthews - Jan. 4) - NAL Resources Management Limited, Manager of NAL Oil & Gas Trust (the "Trust") (TSX: NAE.UN), announces the recent appointments of senior management staff joining its finance team.
Ross Liland, CA joined NAL in November 2005 on a contract basis in the position of Vice President and Chief Financial Officer to fulfill the role until the recruitment of a permanent CFO is finalized. Mr. Liland has more than thirty years of financial experience, primarily in the oil and gas industry. He was a partner in the Calgary office of a national accounting firm for 13 years. Mr. Liland then moved on to hold Chief Financial Officer positions with Inverness Petroleum Ltd. and other oil and gas companies. He has extensive experience with various forms of securities registrations and all aspects of financial reporting.
Robert McKay, CMA has assumed the role of Controller for the NAL group of companies. Mr. McKay joined NAL as Manager, Operations Accounting in 2002. Prior to joining NAL, he spent over 20 years at ExxonMobil, in various financial and operational roles including Manager, Western Canada Accounting and Manager, Gas Marketing, Crude Supply and Pipeline Accounting. Mr. McKay graduated from Memorial University of Newfoundland with a BComm, attaining his CMA in 1989.
Tracy Wood, CA has joined NAL in December 2005 in the position of Manager, Financial Reporting and Analysis. Ms. Wood most recently held the position of Associate Partner at KPMG and has worked with clients in a broad range of industries. Ms. Wood graduated with a BSc (Hons) Business Studies, from the University of Bradford, England in 1992, attained her CA designation in 1995 and her Canadian CA in 2001.
Gordon Currie, CFA has joined NAL in the position of Manager, Investor Relations. Mr. Currie has worked in the oil and gas sector for many years, most recently holding the role of President, Easton Drilling Fund. Prior to joining Easton, Mr. Currie was Vice President, Canaccord Capital and worked in various Financial and Research Analyst roles with Toronto Dominion Bank, Loewen Ondaatje McCutcheon, RBC Dominion Securities and other investment organizations. Mr. Currie holds a BA from the University of Calgary and an MBA from the University of Western Ontario.
Jessica Wu, CA will join NAL in mid-January 2006 in the position of Manager, Tax Planning and Compliance. Ms. Wu held the position of Senior Manager, Tax at PricewaterhouseCoopers prior to joining NAL, where she provided tax advice and planning, primarily with oil and gas clients. She graduated from the University of Calgary attaining her BComm in 1993 and attained her CA designation in 1994.
