On June 1, 2009, NAL gained an interest in the Trutch and Beg areas in northeast British Columbia through the acquisition of Alberta Clipper Energy. This acquisition brought NAL a new core producing property and 33 sections of mineral rights with multi-zone, scalable development opportunities.

On December 10, 2009, NAL acquired Breaker Energy, adding a core liquids rich natural gas property at Fireweed and an additional 21,700 net acres of mineral rights. The Fireweed property is currently producing approximately 3,000 boe/d (100 percent Trust WI), a 40 percent increase since the Breaker acquisition.

NAL also has in interest in the remote Monkman area located in the Hart Ranges of the Central Rocky Mountains. NAL has a working interest of 10-20 percent in this property which is operated by Talisman Energy; an experienced operator in the Monkman area. Current production rate is 15 MMcf/d (net) sales.

2010 Plans
In B.C., the Trust will complete and tie-in one Triassic well drilled in Fireweed in Q1, and will continue with plans to drill additional liquids rich gas wells in 2011.
